Slice of Summer in Winter
Down in FLorida visiting my father and OMG is it beautiful! Back home at this time we're having 20 degree or less weather, tons of stupid snow and sleet, yet down here it's 80 degrees and beautiful! I went to Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park and walked RIGHT on ever ride, it was so sweet. Dina and I went on SO MUCH! Plus, every time i've tried to use my fake ID down here, it's worked! So I'm boozing it up at the same time! Went to the beach today and it was wicked sweet. It's so beautiful that I'm ready to move down here right now! Tomorrow going to EPcot so I hope that's cool. Well, back to go outside and enjoy my SMIRNOFF and the beautiful night in my SHORTS! HA! Talk to all you jealous people later! Matt | | Thursday, September 9th, 2004 | | 8:18 pm |
clinicals
Wow, i totally forgot about this journal since i just use GJ but i figure i'll update. I started clinicals today and I like it alot. Every class is filled w/ the same people so we're all really getting to know each other and all us nurses hang out all the time. School doesn't seem so hard this year b/c everything is putting our knowledge into practical use and we don't have to read millions of pages anymore. I haven't seen Brandon in forever b/c he's not in my clinical group. I've gotten really close to the ppl in my clinical group and they're all cool. The ppl that I knew b4 that was already friends w/ were Lora and Annie. I'm really getting to know them both really well as well as everyone else. I love our clinical director Mary Lewis and our lady for next half, Sheri. They both rock and put all our fears at ease. CLinicals seemed like some half baked crap at first b/c no one knew where we were going or whever, everything was up in the air but now that we're finally there and actually talking to the facility, we're getting an idea of it. We're at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in W. Hartford and all the old ppl are so cute. Most definetly looking forward to all the stuff to come! matt | | Monday, August 9th, 2004 | | 10:57 am |

My Date
To start with I was really sick all week. It sucked majorly. It was so bad that I even SKIPPED THE GYM! So neway I might have told some of you about this girl that Brandon found online who went to South Windsor way back in the day. We wanted to chill, meet each other so I looked at my rediculously busy work/school schedule and saw that I was doing a double on saturday (the 6th). Which means that I should get out 830-930ish. She needed to be picked up so Chris helped me out and got her to Panera. Of course, EVERYONE ELSE was doing doubles too so I was the LAST double that would get cut. SO I did what side work I could to get the fuck out of there and everything in my power to get my tables to LEAVE! It was mondo busy, made some money. Then It died so I was able to GET OUT, go home, shower, change, all to arrive at Panera at 10:02. OOO damn. Shaun greeted me outside LOL and I talked to Jay a bit. So went inside and finally got to meet Autumn. She and CHris were talking and stuff and we just chilled in Panera. Poor Brandon seemed pissed plus we were probably annoying him by wanting drinks (I actually offered to pay tho!!!) but they were shuttin shit down already. So we stayed there for a lil then came back to my house and sat around my room. I didn't think there'd be any time to actually go and DO something so we just hung out and talked in my room. We talked till freaking 3 in the morning (just got back from driving her home). The three of us (yes three lol) talked about anything and everything, very crazy stuff. She's 19 from Enfield. She's a really cool person, definetly fitinable with the crew, nice personality. But over all a lot of fun. Now my spring break is upon me. Kind of pissed I missed spring weekend but I'll survive. Last night in January
As I sat here in anticipation of writing my journal entry, I looked at this little warning sticker on the keyboard and noticed that Brandon PULLED IT while he was looking at Mike's vitamin water website. Lol. Tonight was a classic night of olde back to give us pleasurful enjoyment. We went to a Uconn Hockey game (Julie's present to Jess) in which we all got to go! It was myself, Jess, Julie, Jason, Jess's friend Matt, Mike, Kevin, and Bui. It was fun seeing that, a vicious game. Before that we met up at Friendly's for something to eat and arrived only slightly late up at Uconn (I drove and wasted my gas, grrr) At the game saw this girl that is a hostess at Uno's, she couldn't get in which sucked. After the game we came back and hit up Panera really quickly (lol I couldn't resist!) THen came to my house. THey were tempting us with ideas of watching a movie or something equally less group entertaining so I pulled out Karaoke. Usually Dina will head such festivities but she wasn't feeling well so I pulled teeth to get people to sing. Even got Jason in on it, I should def get more Oldie's tracks. Lots of fun there. That was fun. Shaun showed up w/ Brandon and hung out. I videotaped a lot, sorry Julie if you thought my video taping was offensive! I'm just like that, I wasn't taping just you. Once the gals left the guys started playing games so I ushered them away b/c I have to wake up so early for church, then work afterwords! Bui and Jason are going to borrow a game from Kevin and play that right now. Everything was fun, nothing was bad about tonight. I really enjoyed the Karaoke. Really enjoyed being w/ everyone. Now to sum up, I chose the song that I consider my anthem. "I'm not going to live forever, I just want to live while I'm alive. It's my life." It's been a while...
Hey everyone, I know you haven't heard from me in like over a week which is a long time in internet time. lol. As you know, school has started and it is HARD! I'm already 150 pages behind in combined readings from all my classes and it increases with each day! Ya, fun stuff. I hope the snow will give me some kind of a break by either canceling some classes or helping me to get out of work early/ontime so I can make a good use of my tuesday. I have to write a scholarship essay that I've been procrastinating on that is due FRIDAY! So don't expect me to be able to chat on the phone this week. VERY busy. Just wanted to give a shout out to all those returning to college classes. Jenn, Val, and Steph, good luck u guys! Prob won't see you all for a while with how busy we'll all b but good luck this semester. To those closer to home, Jason and Brandon. I know I won't b missing u guys at all. I couldn't even if i wanted to ;) ok I think that came out weird. ne way. So I'm just doin the school thang. Work has been GREAT making lots of money and really enjoying the ppl there. THe girls are all really nice and some are my age. So cool stuff. This sat we're all going to a hockey game in Jess's honor. Julie set it up with Jason. So that'll b fun! I chose My Immortal b/c I've been hearing it on the radio a lot. Current Music: My Immortal - Evanescence | | Thursday, January 22nd, 2004 | | 6:35 pm |
